Gender difference and gender inequality

              

Gender inequality recognizes that men and women are not equal, and that gender has an effect on the living experience of an individual. Such variations derive from discrepancies in the principles of genetics, psychology, and society. Many of these forms of differences are empirically based while some tend to be created socially.

vWHY sons have more value than daughters???

vWHY we cannot treat men and women equally???

vWHY girls are still afraid and scared to go out alone at night???

Some mothers want a boy as their babies; I want to ask all those women who want a boy as their babies, just look at you who you are; A Girl, Woman or Lady. Think for a while, that what would happen if your parents, at the time of your birth decided that they want boy, not a girl and they abort you…. Just think you won’t be in this world, you would be dead if this had happened, however, your parents never thought that instead, they grew you up with all the basic life necessities, this is the reason you are now thinking of having only a baby boy.

I am not saying that praying to have a boy is wrong but, aborting a girl is wrong just for the sake of the boy.

•                  A comprehensive study of the worldwide demographic statistics indicates that sex-selective abortions have contributed to the birth of at least 23 million fewer girls.

•                  It is seen commonly that desire for having a son leads to a rise in population.

Treating men and women equally is very important. Still, in some societies, women are considered as the dust of men's shoes. Do you think that it's fine? No, absolutely not. Each and every person in this world need to be respected doesn’t matter what gender they have. Everyone respects their mother, sister, and daughter but when it comes to other women why you stop respecting them, why do you assault them??

Tell me why a guy can roam so freely at 2 am while a girl can't. We're conditioned to be afraid since birth. They cannot go out not because of the restriction, but because they won’t feel safe going out alone. Why? I ask everyone again WHY? Parents should teach their children that respect every person either it is a woman or a man. We all together can lead to a better society and now the time is on its peak and we need to teach our young generation that both the gender are equally important because if daughter's abortion rate will increase, that would create a great misbalance between both the gender. Are You Ready to Face That!!!

                                                  

Toxic Masculinity:

A cultural concept of masculinity that idolizes stoicism, strength, virility and dominance and which is socially ill-adaptive or harmful to mental health: men and women both suffer when toxic masculinity reinforces restrictive and traumatizing expectations.

People really need to grapple their own created stereotypes about masculinity; I previously also mentioned that it is completely fine for men to cry or to feel pain. But our society has made the environment toxic.

Media Influence:

Today from mainstream legacy media to online media, also significantly influences our views and ideas regarding girls and women's place in society. Unfortunately, what we have seen until now is that the media tend to perpetuate gender inequalities. Research shows that children are influenced by the gendered stereotypes that media present to them from a young age onwards.

We strongly believe media can play a transformative role in achieving gender equality in societies. By creating gender-sensitive and gender-transforming content, and breaking stereotypes of gender. By questioning conventional social and cultural beliefs and attitudes surrounding stereotypes of gender in content as well as in media houses. By presenting women in leadership positions regularly, and not as an exception, as specialists on a variety of topics.

To produce gender-transformative content and establish self-regulatory strategies on equity, including access to decision-making roles, the media sector needs to be empowered. Mechanisms for tracking and assessment will be set to assess success within the industry. Thereby ensuring parity between the sexes in culture, workforce, and management.

                 

                         

These are just some of the factors that I mentioned; there are many more sectors that you can connect with this. I am not asking to change these factors, but what I am asking is to change your mentality. Factors are interlinked with the mentality, to change factor you need to change mentality first. For example, many times parent compares their child with other children, and that’s not right. We all know comparison is not good in any situation, so why we compare both the genders? Every person in this world has different capabilities so don’t compare them. Let them live freely, let them live in a way they want to.
